ReciScan Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 20, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how ReciScan handles information through the ReciScan mobile app, website, ReciScan Portal, public recipe contribution pages, pledge campaign pages, storefronts, and print-order services.

Personal Information We Collect

The information collected depends on which ReciScan features you use:

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Campaign Organizers and Pledge Information

When you submit a public pledge, the organizer identified on that campaign page can view and export your name, email address, optional phone number, quantity, campaign balance information, and pledge status. The organizer uses this information to communicate about pricing, payment, printing, pickup, delivery, or cancellation.

Campaign payments are collected outside ReciScan. Questions or correction requests about a specific pledge should first be sent to the public campaign contact. Organizers may retain independent copies of information they export; their handling of those copies is their responsibility under the Campaign Organizer Terms.

Service Providers and Third Parties

ReciScan uses service providers to deliver specific functions. Depending on the feature, information may be processed by:

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. ReciScan does not sell or rent pledge supporter contact information.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We share information only as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including:

Data Retention and Security

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the requested service, maintain campaign and order records, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and support legitimate business operations. Retention periods vary by data type. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or security logs after deletion.

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect information. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and ReciScan cannot guarantee absolute security. Campaign organizers should protect downloaded CSV files and delete them when they are no longer needed.

Your Choices and Requests

You may update certain account, campaign, pledge, or storefront information through the applicable ReciScan interface. You may also contact support@reciscan.app to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information associated with ReciScan. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when required or permitted for security, legal, transaction, or recordkeeping purposes.

For a supporter pledge, contact the campaign organizer for the fastest correction. You may also contact ReciScan if you cannot reach the organizer.

Children's Privacy

ReciScan's accounts, public pledge forms, and recipe contribution forms are not intended for direct use by children under 13. A parent, guardian, teacher, coach, or other authorized adult should submit information on a child's behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information directly, contact support@reciscan.app so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
